Child and Adolescent Counselling
Is your child or adolescent struggling with difficult thoughts, feelings or behaviours? They may have let you know that they are having a hard time, or you may have noticed out-of-character mood or behavioural changes. Counselling appropriate to their developmental stage and age helps young people navigate their ever-changing internal and external worlds. Depending on their preferences and needs, evidence-based therapies including art, narrative, sand tray, cognitive-behavioural, positive psychology, family systems and acceptance and commitment therapy effectively engage, motivate and encourage younger clients. Whether your child or adolescent is facing a specific challenge (e.g. family breakdown, grief and loss, bullying, body image, school refusal) or more generalised mental health issue (e.g. low self-esteem, depression, anxiety), please contact us to learn further about how child-centred counselling can make a difference. In-person and Zoom sessions available.
